The Silk Road

Osborne & Little 2011 orient collection, the Karavansara, is pulling on my heartstrings.  I love the intricate patterns and color combination of the Nizam fabric seen here as a curtain and the subtle but beautiful Kolam fabric seen here as a pillow cover.

The Kolam fabric is shown below again as a throw with beaded trimmings.  Cost £120 per metre for the Kolam & £160 per metre for the Nizam.  The trimmings shown on the curtains and throw is the Satin Beaded Braid, part of the Kediri Trimmings Collection.  Cost £47 per metre.

Holman Entertaining Shelves

These Holman Entertaining Shelves have been on Pottery Barn for the longest time and I have been drooling over them since the beginning.  I was in New York last year and bought only one set and had since regretted not buying more.

You can organize them in any order and according to my husband, they are not that difficult to install.  So pretty and practical and they save up lots of space since they are not as bulky as a real wine cabinet.  Now that Pottery Barn is shipping worldwide, I just might take advantage of the low Greenback and have them ship over to Europe.

Irresistable Theory

I am dying to get my hands on this Theyskens' Theory Bama Blouse for $285. It is classy yet very sexy and the chiffon fabric feels unbelievably soft and fluid to the skin.
Theyskens' Theory Bama Blouse

Pair it with a vest or with this Theyskens' Theory Jipso Blazer for an amazing look ($540 at shopbop for the linen one, $595 at ssense for the viscose one).

Theyskens' Theory Jipso Blazer

The tailoring of both the Bama blouse and Jipso blazer are immaculate and they drape fantasically well even on my small frame.  You can purchase both the Bama blouse and the Jipso Blazer at shopbop.com, ssense.com or Theory's own website.

Arm Candy

I will be going to Paris with a friend next month.  And since Paris is THE city of fashion, what is there to lust after but for bags and clothings.  I guess I will just be contented with a arm candy this time instead of a chic summer dress.  I am drooling after two to-die-for bags; the Balenciaga Giant Velo Rose Gold in old rose for $1795 and the Givenchy Tinhan Hobo for $1815.

I love the size of the Balenciaga Velo Rose Gold and the super soft, cushy lightweight leather that Balenciaga does so well.  While I think Balenciaga bags always project a biker chic look, the rose gold hardwares on the Velo give the bag a hint of glamor.  Each season, Balenciaga always come up with a range of beautiful colors for their bags.  But the old rose color caught my eye immediately because it has this romantic powdery pink tint that is oh so hard to resist.

I think the Givenchy Tinhan Hobo wasn't given enough credit when it debuted.  Ok, it got mention in a couple of publications and blogs but seriously, there wasn't much news about it.  I have seen the Tinhan in person, and it's a beaut.  Because it is shaped like a pear, while carrying it on your shoulder, it shapes and mold to your body.  It doesn't scream attention, but quietly brings compliments to the rest of your outfit.

What's Hanging?

I have been looking for the perfect chandelier to hang in my attic.  You might think it is easy but with so many selections and choices, it is actually one of the hardest thing to decide on when decorating your home.  A hanging light could make or break the decor of the room since it is one of the major focal point in a room.

I think this Turquoise Empire Chandelier from Marjorie Skouras is absolutely gorgeous.  It would definitely be the center of attention and would dramatize any room it is in.  Too bad the price tag is a little under $7000 which means I would never be able to afford to own this beaut.  Well, one can still dream, can't she?

Curtains and More

Now that it's Spring, the afternoon sun has been shinning unrelentingly through my attic windows.  The sun is too glaring for me since my work desk faces a big window.  Therefore, I am contemplating in making new window blinds for that reason.  I have recently bought the Garrick Aqua fabric of the Adelphi Collection from Designers Guild.

I would love to add trimmings to the blinds.  I am lusting after the Torelli Moss in the Orsetti Collection costing £54 per metre.
